Tim Gomez has been a Sun Devil since 2005 when he enrolled as an undergraduate student and never left. Tim joined the Office of Government and Community Engagement in 2022. He looks for opportunities that enhance ASU’s relations with the City of Tempe and opportunities to expand the university’s mission of advancing public value for the community

Prior to his current role, Tim worked in municipal government administration for eight years for three different municipalities. He has a love for local government and is a past contributor to the International City Managers Association, Arizona City Managers Association, and Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL). Tim is also an adjunct professor for ASU’s School of Public Affairs and teaches courses on public administration, leadership, intergovernmental affairs and urban cities.

A native Phoenician, Tim has graduated from ASU with degrees in Justice Studies, Criminology, Public Administration, and Public Policy. He lives in Phoenix with his wife Megan and two sons, Carson and Owen.
