Brennan Metcalfe serves as the Program Coordinator Senior for Federal Government Relations in the Office of Government and Community Engagement at Arizona State University. In this role, Brennan focuses on strategically organizing and aligning ASU’s federal appropriations priorities, collaborating closely with university stakeholders to ensure effective communication of the university’s needs to congressional representatives. He spearheads innovative engagement initiatives, including a district office event series designed to enhance interaction between ASU and Arizona-based congressional staff, strengthening key relationships that support ASU’s community and educational missions.
Brennan also plays a pivotal role in coordinating and executing congressional staff delegation programs, providing DC-based congressional staffers with immersive experiences that showcase ASU’s significant contributions in research, community engagement, and education. His expertise in facilitating productive dialogues between ASU personnel and congressional staff ensures impactful federal advocacy.
Prior to joining ASU, Brennan served as a District Outreach Coordinator for Congressman Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), managing constituent communications, event planning, and outreach strategies. His experience includes roles supporting former Senator Kyrsten Sinema and campaign outreach efforts for Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ). Brennan holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a Minor in Public Policy from ASU and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration from Northern Arizona University, with graduation anticipated in 2026
